Prepare To Installing Handrail Bracket
Handrail Bracket – Handrails enhance the appearance of stairs and provide a sturdy object to hold while ascending or descending the ladder. If your ladder does not have a handrail, installing one will require a few basic tools. If the walls are made of plaster, the handrail is installed the same as any other wall material, drilling in advance the holes for the nails. Drilling of pilot holes prevents plaster from cracking.
Instructions: Walk to the bottom of the stairs. Place the end of the tape measure on the edge, with the tread on the last step. Use the tape measure to locate a 32-inch (81.28 cm) point above the top step on the plaster wall. Mark the second point with the pencil. Extend a chalk line between the two pencil marks; ask someone else to help you. Position the line against the wall to create the vertical installation guide of the handrail bracket.

Place the handrail mounting handrail bracket where each pencil mark is. Use a pencil to mark each of the three screw holes. Put the brackets aside. Insert a 7/64 inch drill bit into a drill. Place the drill bit against each pencil mark on the cast and drill 1-inch (2.54 cm) deep holes. Align brackets with holes. Insert the screws and tighten them with an electric drill, until the supports feel secure.installing handrail brackets
